With several trophies to be decided on the day, the Greenwood, the Jack Miall and the Glyn Jones, everything was set up for a tense and eventful day. The singles final was played at Rye Hill between fixtures with Paul beating Patrick and, after their win over Tony and Rob in the semi final Patrick & Paul Collins played Dave Crocker & Pete Mann at Brampton to decide the winners, Dave & Pete getting the job done.
A memorable incident in (and all over) a bunker on the 17th hole saw myself pressing the accelerator rather than the brake and ending up as below, thanks to the Captain helping to get back out, after the fits of laughter from the Captain and Handicap secretary had subsided.
Congratulations go to Rob Pouncey for his win on 38 Points. In 2nd Richard (Bandit) Darlison 36 points and 3rd To Paul Green 33 points.
The nearest the pins on the day were Dennis England and Neal Malone with no 2’s being collected.

In The Glyn Jones (lost dogs, last chance) Trophy, the winner was Paul Green with 33 points on count back from Dennis.

Congratulations to our retiring Captain Tony Brock after a successful year. The only handicap change sees Captain elect Rob Pouncey move from 20 to 18.5 and now playing off 19.
We all took part in a superb season of golf with fantastic venues and the weather we all enjoyed throughout the season was second to none.
Many thanks to the committee and members for all the support through the year and hope to see everyone at the presentation night and next year.
