Today brings twelve of us returning once again to Stratford Oaks Golf Course, with its driving range in close proximity to the clubhouse, and the putting green in the right place by the first tee! All the holes had information boards and the website had very good hole guide as well. I thought the course was nicely laid out and well kept.
A brunch was served at 1.00 before we were ushered to the first tee by the course marshal for an early start.
I thought the course was in a good condition with the greens improved as we went around, a brisk wind presented a challenge but it was nice to have greenish fairways with a bit of give in them, certainly the feet appreciated it! I thoroughly enjoyed the round in Group 2 with Phil, Martin and Paul. Not sure what it is about Stratford Golf Courses, but I seem to suit them! I was naturally very pleased with my scoring, and win

The nearest the pins on the day were both won by Martin Fawcett and there were no claims on the 2s after Martin couldn’t putt it seems!!!
The Captains Orifice got a few good victims (hope we all paid). Remember it’s all for Charity!!!!
