A serving of alfresco bacon rolls and coffee kept us warmed up waiting for the first tee and many tales of lockdown, jabs received and predictions for the future were exchanged before getting underway. Considering soe people had not even held a club, let alone hit a ball the performance on the first tee was not too bad and all five groups were well away
The course was in good condition with the greens being a little bit slow for Brampton Heath but overall in good condition, a couple of fairways showed need of attention but the course played well, particularly as the day got sunnier and warmed up a little

Winner of the Greenwood Stableford scoring on the day with 33 points was returning member Peter Simson, 2nd with 32 points was this year’s Captain Neil (Nelly) Edwards and 3rd with 31 points was Paul (found it) Collins. Peter Maher was closest on the 7th and Neal Malone was closest on the 12th, there were no 2s achieved on the day
Handicaps
Peter Simson cut by 1 for winning was 24 now playing off 23 Tony Brock up 0.1 to 24.5 playing off 25 Neal Malone up 0.1 to 11.5 playing off 12. I have attached the new handicap sheet also todays results and The Greenwood Trophy Standings after the 1st fixture

From Daventry - Follow the A45 east past Rushden Lakes to the A6 roundabout. Head south .8 mile to the Chelveston Rd roundabout, turn left and the golf club will be almost a mile down on your RHS
From A14 Junction 10 - Follow A6 7.2 miles south to Chelveston Rd roundabout, turn left and the golf club will be almost a mile down on your right hand side.
