This year everyone was a little disappointed with the course, long hay waited for your wayward drives even if you just went off the fairway you were on a mission to find your ball, the tee boxes needed cutting, and the cut grass was laying everywhere that with the greens needing a little work and the bunkers full of stones, left us all a little deflated, the scoring was pretty low except for a couple of players and an exceptional score by Pirate Pete Mann, as well as winning with a natural 7 over par and 41 points, Pete won both the nearest the pins and the twos kitty. Paul Green was a very worthy runner up with 34 points. Well done to Pete for winning them and thanks for the drink from your winnings.

Next weekend is the 2016 Tour of Lincolnshire keep your eyes out for the reports on what will probably end up a bit messy lol.
The society's next fixture will be at Kilworth Springs GC on Sunday 24th July meeting up at 10.30 am for a 11.30 am tee time there is a driving range for some practice before hand as well as a practice putting green.
Please also be aware that Captain's day at Staverton Park has a different start time from the fixture card; we will now meet up at 12.00 for bacon rolls and coffee, play 18 holes and then have an evening meal afterwards. Please can you reserve this date in your diaries, Sunday 11th September 2016, so we have a good turn out for our terrific Captain John.
Well that's enough from me, see you at Forest pines if you're on the tour, if not we hope to see you at Kilworth Springs
Best regards
Paul
